How to Transfer a Firearm to Timberlake Firearms

Your Complete FFL Transfer Guide in Ohio
Buying a firearm online or from an out-of-state seller? Federal law requires that it be shipped to a licensed dealer (FFL) for transfer. At Timberlake Firearms, we make the firearm transfer process simple, transparent, and hassle-free.
Whether your purchase came from an online retailer, auction site, or private seller, our goal is to get you in, processed correctly, and back out the door with confidence.
What Is a Firearm Transfer?
A firearm transfer is the legal process of transferring ownership of a firearm through a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). The firearm is shipped to the FFL, where required paperwork and a background check are completed before the firearm is released to the buyer.
This process protects both buyers and sellers and ensures all federal, state, and local laws are followed.
